Lightning Protection System as per IS/IEC 62305
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
8mm and 10mm Round Conductors are used to create a Horizontal Air Termination Network (Air Terminal Grid) on RCC terraces, rooftops, industrial buildings, commercial complexes, and other structures requiring lightning protection.
The conductor network intercepts direct lightning strikes and safely distributes lightning current through the down conductor and earthing system. The air termination mesh shall be installed as per approved lightning protection drawings and designed in accordance with IS/IEC 62305 requirements.
STANDARDS COMPLIANCE
The conductor network shall comply with:
- IS/IEC 62305 – Protection Against Lightning
- IEC 62561 Series – Lightning Protection System Components
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
- Conductor shall be installed on RCC terrace using approved conductor saddles/supports.
- Grid size shall be as per approved lightning protection drawings.
- All joints and connections shall ensure electrical continuity.
- Conductors shall be connected to down conductors and earthing system as per design requirements.
- Installation shall comply with IS/IEC 62305 guidelines.
