The benefits of conversion are not only in terms of cost saving by using GAS instead of Diesel but also the numerous benefits of reduced emissions thereby making a cleaner environment.
Benefits of conversion:
1. Reduced Emission:
The emission is considerably reduced and can be certified through a recognized government body. This helps in contributing to reducing pollution levels.
2. Reduced operating costs:
The cost of Gas is cheaper than diesel. Using PNG as the majority fuel, the kit considerably reduces the operating costs of the DG set. The Kit cost can be recovered within 1-1.5 Years (depending upon DG capacity) of operation with minimal running.
3. Statutory Compliances:
As per the NGT order Existing Diesel gensets need to be converted to partial gas usage in order to enable them to run. In case they are run only on diesel during this period, heavy penalties can be imposed and also the gensets can be sealed. After the fitment of the kit, the DG sets comply with this requirement.
4. No change in DG output:
The fitment of this kit does not Debate the capacity of the DG set. The DG continues to produce the same output with the same efficiency.

DUAL FUEL SYSTEM OPERATION
The Dual fuel system consists of a gas train with electrically operated slow opening valve. The train consists of a pressure regulator which is responsible for reducing the pressure of the PNG pipeline along with an Air Gas Mixtureconsisting of a venture plate with housing to mix the desired percentage of gas with air.
The system is controlled by a fully automated SELEC PLC consisting of MCB’s, Relays and contactors. The safety parameters are monitored in the PLC and we have Vibration sensors, temperature sensors and pressure sensors fittedon the DG set to maintain and monitor the levels.
